Borrowing

What can be borrowed from the library?

Most publications can be borrowed. Some reference books and journals are only for use in the library and cannot be borrowed. These are on the shelves marked DO NOT BORROW THESE BOOKS.

Borrowing period

Publications may be borrowed for up to 6 months. Please return publications as soon as you have finished using them. If someone else needs a book you have borrowed, you will be asked to return it. Overdue books will be recalled - they can be renewed.

To borrow a book

Fill in the borrowing record sheet on the clipboard that is kept on the table at the back of the library. Please make sure you complete all of the information required including the call number and your name in block capitals.

Book returns

Place books in the BOOK RETURNS tray. Please don't just leave it on the desks. Also, don't cross it off the borrowing list.
